ABOUT NATALIE
Expanding Her Purpose
Natalie is a journalist and newsroom leader who has spent the last 18 years working for newspapers and media organizations across the country, with stops in Minnesota, Kentucky, North Carolina, Illinois, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and the Washington metropolitan area.
Her life outside the newsroom has shaped her sense of purpose just as deeply as her work inside it. After surviving an abusive marriage and a suicide attempt, Natalie began sharing her story to help others — using her experience to spark honest conversations about mental health.

Natalie’s experience as a storyteller, combined with the power of her own story, allows her to connect with audiences in a way that is candid, personal and deeply impactful.
LEADING DISCUSSIONS
As a former collegiate athlete, Natalie understands the focus, discipline and work ethic it takes to pursue excellence. But after hitting her own rock bottom, she came to understand that the mental toughness she had always been known for had also become a coping mechanism — one that eventually caught up with her.
That perspective allows Natalie to connect with athletes, coaches and others across the sports world in an authentic way, starting important conversations about mental health and challenging the idea that being strong means struggling in silence.
